Shortly before 10 a.m. this morning 64-year-old American Canyon resident Frank Joseph Lyons was arrested, prompting a search of his home on James Road. Lyons was arrested on three felony counts of “possession of matter depicting a minor, contacting a minor for sexual purpose and manufacturing child pornography,” according to a statement from the Napa County Sheriff’s Office.

The arrest was made by Napa County Sheriff detectives, who served Lyons a search warrant at his home this morning during a child pornography investigation.

The sheriff’s office did not say whether the arrest was part of a broader investigation into child pornography networks.

As of the publication of this brief, Lyons remains held in Napa County Department of Corrections. His bail is set at $100,000. The investigation is ongoing.

Correction: The article previously stated Lyons was arrested at his home on James Road. It has been corrected to state that read that he was arrested prior to the search of his residence.
