On a roll, for 20 years! Napa Valley Casino stays awake 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In 2026, the owners, family, and friends plan to celebrate 20 years in American Canyon. This family-owned business is known as “the friendliest Casino in America.”

Owned by Von Huang-Altizer and Brian Altizer, the cardroom boasts a staff that knows nearly every player’s name. Von and her eldest son, Christopher Huang, manage and operate the business. Players from all over northern California, many of whom are locals and veterans, regularly visit to enjoy the social aspects of Texas Hold’em and Omaha Hi-Lo or one of the many other games offered.

The story of Napa Valley Casino is also about survival and grit. Von came to this country nearly 50 years ago, with nothing.

Von at an early age came to the USA as a refugee from Laos, later a single mother of two, she maintained two jobs and night school to learn English while supporting her family, including kids, parents, and brother. She started working for a casino in Arizona, where she discovered she had an affinity and ability to thrive in this industry. While working in 1995 she briefly met Brian Altizer, who would later return to her life with an opportunity.

After years in the industry, Von and Brian reunited, then bringing over 20 years of combined experience to the Casino and Cardroom industry. They moved to California in 2006 and later married. Taking a bold step with then partner Keith Miller forming BVK Gaming and went all-in and purchased the American Canyon cardroom.

Napa Valley Casino is now one of the largest tax contributors to the city of American Canyon.

Napa Valley Casino is also a highly respected employer, starting with 9 and now providing approximately 150 jobs, including four that have worked at the cardroom for 20 years. The vast majority of these jobs are living wage jobs and many coming from a similar background as Von and Brian’s.

The family, residing in American Canyon, has contributed to the community through various initiatives over the years. Many of which include, Evening at the Ruins, Meet me in the Street, many crab feeds, American Canyon High School organizations including football and the arts, the Boys and Girls Club, the Reindeer Run, American Canyon’s 4th of July festivities and a multitude of other events and organizations.

Napa Valley Casino offers a number of promotions, jackpots, and games. Please check www.napavalleycasino.com for current promotions. In this California card room, you can play California style games; 21stCentury Blackjack, 3 Card Poker, EZ Baccarat, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, and Fortune Pai Gow Poker or Texas Hold’em and Omaha Hi-Lo poker style games.
