Overnight road work on Highway 29

Caltrans has scheduled nightly reverse one-way traffic control on State Route 29 for culvert replacement, and road stabilization work between Rutherford and Oakville will begin on Thursday, Jan. 15. It  is expected to continue through Jan. 24, with a day off on Jan. 18. Road work will take place between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Drivers should expect delays and to slow down in the construction area to help crews and traffic control flaggers stay safe.

Beginning on Thursday, Jan. 22, Caltrans will implement continuous one-way traffic control on the same location, seven days a week for three weeks.

A full closure of SR-29 with detours will be implemented later in the construction schedule. The emergency project is expected to last until spring.
